Hello there,
I use joomla 2.5.x and vm 2.6.10
Suddenly several clients (maybe all) and not all of them made orders, received the following e-mail:
Hello,
An error with your payment paypal on your store ........... The details are logged in the file http://www.myeshop.com/administrator/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&view=log&task=edit&logfile=paypal.1.log.php
The VirtueMart Team
The strange is that as i told you not all of them made order via paypal (maybe none of them) but they received this e-mail.
Any ideas?
as you suppose this is wrong .. should only have gone to site admins..
have you checked the state of the users "receive system emails"
but your VM is well out of date and insecure - latest is 2.6.18
Where is this setting you are talking about?
Joomla users
I cannot find this option!
open any user in Joomla user admin .. there is an option-> Receive System Emails
And how could I disable this option to all users except admins and disable this option from all new registrations?
On standard Joomla it is disabled (No).. are u saying on a normal user it is enabled?
As i just saw in database in users table at column sendMail, i saw that half of users have value 1 at this column. This means that somehow they receive administrators e-mails. I will change this column's values to zero, but how should i prevent new users from receiving e-mails?
From where can i change this default value?
the default is 0 in a standard install
I have no idea how your Joomla (and this is a Joomla issue .. not VM - VM doesn't set this when registering)
Have u tested to see what gets set on a registration?
