Hello i have a problem with Virtuemart 3.0.10 and canonical with Custom Filters Pro component
I have a search module on the right where i can search product for "Categoria" "Spessore Pareti" "Misure"
In every search i perform i have a wrong canonical.. Example:
- Chioschi and Legno massello 28mm (1.png)
<link href="https://www.casacasette.it/risultati-ricerca?virtuemart_category_id[0]=8&custom_f_34[0]=4c65676e6f206d617373656c6c6f2032386d6d&custom_f_35[0]=&q=" rel="canonical"/>
-Garage and legno massello 45 mm (2.png)
<link href="https://www.casacasette.it/risultati-ricerca?virtuemart_category_id[0]=9&custom_f_34[0]=4c65676e6f206d617373656c6c6f2034356d6d&custom_f_35[0]=&q=" rel="canonical"/>
In this way every search page is indexed with a wrong canonical (4.png)
What's the way for solving the problem?
Thank you
why would u worry about the canonical of a search page????
Do u really think Google is going to index these? And if it did the point would be?
Because i think that this could affect my seo performance.. or not?
Can i use this rule in robot.txt?
Disallow: /*risultati-ricerca
Thank you
yes.. I would block.. why would you want Google ever indexing a page like this?
I don't want that google index a page like this so i would block them and that will be remove from search result.. Is it correct or i didn't undesrtand your question? =)
Best regards
the chances of Google indexing and returning a page like this in SERPS is tiny
Google can't fill forms so how can it reach a page like this to index?
Even if someone copy/pasted the url somewhere where Google can find it why worry how it would rank?
It would be ignored as part of the billions of "white noise" pages on the internet...
If u feel you must then block it with robots.txt
Ok thank you very much..
i thought this because typing site:casacasette.it i can find some wrong indexed url such as:
https://www.casacasette.it/risultati-ricerca?custom_f_34%5B0%5D=4c65676e6f206d617373656c6c6f2032386d6d&custom_f_35%5B0%5D=&q=
It is also mentioned in html improvement in google web master tools so it could better block it.. right?
Disallow: /*risultati-ricerca is the right rule?
Best regards
yes... this will block it.. google has a robots check tool as well to check
Ok thank you! =)
