Does VM2 have SEF urls?

Hey guys,
I'm still on VM version 1.x and we are planning to do an upgrade in the near future.  I am, however, concerned about sticking with VM as a shopping cart mainly for SEO and SEF links.  So far, I've had numerous companies quote me on SEO options and it's almost unanimous over the board that my current VM has atrocious URLS for search engines.  Part of the reason we're not getting ahead in ranking is the urls.   For example:

http://www.slygoosecables.com/store/detail/2/flypage/71?sef=hcfp

should more look like:

http://www.slygoosecables.com/store/audiocables/xlr/canarestarquad

Do this to 1,000 + urls and you can see what kind of mess I have.  We have VM SEF free component installed but it 's not really helping as you can see :(

Is VM2 better with SEF URLS?

PRO

slygoose,

when I was using vmart 1.1 I did not use SEF urls(at all), and did not have a single problem with ranking.

YES 2.0 has better urls

category/product-name

or

shop/category/product-name-suffx

The product has a "suffix" at the end of the url.

You can choose it. I just use    -p
