Title: error in save of custom field type

Hello, when i try to save a new custom field it shows the error
Error
vmError: TableCustoms Field Type in record is missing! Can't save the record with no Field Type.
failed
Why?

Joomla 3.9.23 , Virtumart i update it now to 3.8.7.10378 because when i was made fresh install you have it in download to download 3.8.6.10373 , php 7.3.25

I understood my mistake. In  Custom Field Type: i didnt select an option.
By the way, am i right to updated virtuemart component from  3.8.6.10373 to 3.8.7.10378 ?

the system is even numbers e.g. 3.8.6 are production

odd 3.8.7 are test or beta versions ..  not normally used on production sites but rarely give problems .. are the test versions for the next release
