Error message while checkout.

Hi -

i get these error messages every time i save address while checkout as an administrator.





info

        Info: User data stored
        Info: Vendor data stored

Error

        vmError: TableVendors The given Vendor name already exists.
        vmError: VmTableData Sef Alias in record is missing ! Can't save the record with no Sef Alias.
        vmError: store vendor

Hi chetanmadaan,

I'm not sure if this is specifically the problem, but perhaps the administrator account (I assume it's the same one you use to log into the backend) is reserved as the default vendor account. Have you tried testing with a new user account? Generally you would do any front end testing with an admin account as it's linked to core function.

See how you go with that.

Hello,

Yes you get some of these messages due to being a super admin. The other data info is not well communicated but is send by default as well. I would like to turn this off myself, but looks like those alerts will need to be altered in some way through the language files.

So, setup a new registered user and some of those message will not come about.

thanks for your reply... i arleady figured that out and made a note... if i am building a shopping cart... i should be testing a normal user.
