I have gone through a lot of the forum but if there is a thread about this topic its either old, dead or never answered or "oh wait i figured it out" but never tell how they solved the issue.
- Im coming from WooCommerce and would like to know the best way to assign weight to a product option.
- No stock control needed. Each child option will have a different weight that needs to be carried over to UPS for final shipping cost at checkout.
From what I have been reading my options are Custom forms and child options. Can I use either one of these? This is a pre sale type question before I take the jump.

Parent attribute A
--Child option 1
--Child option 2
--Child option 3

Parent attribute B
--Child option 1
--Child option 2
--Child option 3
--Child option 4

Parent attribute C
--Child option 1
--Child option 2

Thank you

Add in main product 3 childs :
Parent attribute A
Parent attribute B
Parent attribute C
and Add a custom field "generic variants" in min product

in the 3 childs add your child options :
--Child option 1
--Child option 2
...
and Add a custom field "generic variants" for:
Parent attribute A
Parent attribute B
Parent attribute C

Thank you.
Im still trying to get my head around this system and I don't understand one more thing...searched for it and searched youtube but nothing really.
so what you are saying is this As the example below...

Product - Flags

"Color" These options will NOT change price or weight
--Red
--Blue
--Green

"Quantity" these options will change price and weight
--100
--200
--300

"Turnaround" These options will NOT change price or weight
--2 days
-3-4 days

So can I have only child options 100,200,300 be assigned price or weight? I was watching a vid on attribute lists but it didn't give any options that i could see, just price changes...
Is there a admin demo I can see this? the VirtueMart Demo does not allow this kind of edit...

Thank you for your help
