Adding lines between areas/modules

Hi,

I want to add a few lines to my template, but have no clue how to do that. I tried HR/, ImageLine but I don't get it the way I want it.
The attachment shows a few red lines, that's where I want them to be. I assume I have to change a few things in index.php, but what and where?
