Search custom fileds in search module?

Hello, i've got several custom fields configured in my products. I've noticed that search criteria in the module does not include custom fields. Example: i've got one product with the custom field "red". When searching for "red" it doesn't display this product in results.

I'm using Joomla 2.5 and Virtuemart 2.0.12f.

Why does this happen and how can i fix it?
