Short and long description boxes

Hi all, newbie here. I've been reading posts about issues with description boxes. In the short description box people seem to want to be able to add rich text, images etc. This would be great however what I would prefer is for the large description box to be expanded by default. Does anyone know how to do this?

Any and all help greatly appreciated.

If you want to always have the ability to add videos & some other scripts running in the long desc the I'd use Sourcerer. http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions/core-enhancements/coding-a-scripts-integration/custom-code-in-content/5051
