I've upgraded my Virtuemart installation to version 2.0.16. Now, any products that I edit do not display their prices on the frontend afterwards. I don't have to make any changes, I only have to open the product for edit in the backend. I cannot change the prices back from the backend.
The development URL is http://neuepoch.host.etimewebs.com . Select the 'Specialty Oils' category. I've not changed any of them, but, none of them have a price. It says 'no price set' on the backend and the price is blank on the frontend. Help please.
vm1 migrated store? I think you have multiple prices configured, please take a look.
No, this is not a VM1 migrated store. It was installed originally at Virtuemart 2.0 on Joomla 2.5. On some products I do have multiple prices configured for various product sizes (eg. 1 oz, 4 oz, 16 oz, etc.). However, I have other products that have only 1 price configured and if I've touched it with the editor since the upgrade, it shows no price.
Desclaimer: i only had 2 month experience on virtuemart, spend last holiday season to dig it deep....
i once had this situation, i go to configuration pricing, disable show price, save, and enable show price, and save again... and then price displayed....
there're function in virtuemart that can handling tables, include generate table 'on the fly'... i think this issue have something related with that
Yes, same thing is happening here http://limeducks.com.au/online-shopping/girls-dresses/bobbi-detail
The price displays and then disappears. This is happening for items that have been opened and saved since the update from .14 to .16
OK, some further information:
When opening a product, a new price is added when saving with a value of 0.000. So I see the original price I had entered plus another price below it.
I deleted this on the save and close but it made no difference.
Then I found that if I manually insert a price for each child (custom stock plugin) item, the price then returns and seems to work as normal. It appears that once you open and edit any product this needs to be done, which is really annoying.
Is there a way to avoid this?
This is not the normal case. Maybe it is connected to the stockable plugin?
Yes all my products use the stockable plugin.
This is going to be a major issue if each time a product is edited then prices stop working.
I've just added a new product and have yet to add the Custom Fields and am having the same issue, so the plugin appears to play no part in this.
Each time a change is made to the product, a new Product Pricing box Appears with a new price, each set at 0.0000. Unless you manually delete these before saving and closing, the product is listed as "No price set".
So after I delete the extra prices and get it working, just opening the product creates a new price each time and subsequent saves in the product create more of these new product prices. After adding 2 images I now have 3 new product prices all of 0.0000 which i need to manually delete.
