evening all, i want to put a single item on sale, with a discount code, i dont want it applied to the whole shop, just a single item
am i missing something i thought i was doing well with virtual mart :)
Create a discount rule apply this as you like, category, directly product, possibilities are many.
I usually create a hidden category, say 20 % discount, a calculation rule with the same name and apply this to the category. Then I include the products i want on sale in this category. Turning on/off discount rule is fast.

To remove the discount - just remove the category from the product.
If you need it to be a coupon code, can always use Awocoupon:
