Title: [SOLVED]Sitemap problem
Post by: babu65 on April 09, 2016, 18:50:48 PM
Hi,
I'm developing a site in Joomla 3.5.0 with PHP 5.4.45 and Virtuemart 3.0.14, so of course I'd like have a site map.
I've tried 3 free different components that I'm usualy use, but with all 3 I have the same problem, the categories and the products of Virtuemart are not mapped.
In another site with the same  serve, version of Joomla and VM, I don't have this problem.
Somebody have a suggestion about?

The site link is http://thestoneage.it/sitemap.html (http://thestoneage.it/sitemap.html)
The XML link http://thestoneage.it/index.php?option=com_osmap&view=xml&tmpl=component&id=1 (http://thestoneage.it/index.php?option=com_osmap&view=xml&tmpl=component&id=1)

Many thanks in advance.

I have no suggestions about free sitemap extensions. I always use JSitemap Pro and have never had a problem.

It is strange that 3 extensions have the same problem, though. How do the sites differ?

Hi jenkinhill,
thanks for your prompt reply.
The suggestion I asked is not about a sitemap component, but about VM.
In fact if 3 different components does not have mapped the Categories and products and the same component have mapped right they in another site on the same server with the same version of Joomla and VM, probably is a problem of VM setup.

With one of this 3 I had mapped other sites with VM and  have never had a problem.

You must have a menu item with type VirtueMart -> Category Layout set up and included in the sitemap. Also make sure OSMap - VirtueMart plugin is enabled.

I was not clear, JSitemap Pro works perfectly for me on VM - as well as all the other components for which they have a wizard plugin.

As Ghost says, check your menus.
