PayPal Pro Payment Method Type should be changed from 'HTML-Form based' to 'Use Payment Processor' because when using HTML-form base credit card fields are not shown on checkout.

I jusst corrected this and it will be included in next release. I have one doubt. which credit card types should be enabled by default? None in my opinion, but that of course will mean that PayPal will not work.

I have just upgrade to 1.1.6 When selecting the Paypal API as the only payment method, Credit Card payment option is still being chosen when progressing to step 2 of the payment process. The following errors are seen

Invalid Credit Card Number or Credit Card Verification Code.
Error: Invalid Credit Card Number or Credit Card Verification Code.
Error: Failure in Processing the Payment (ps_paypal_api)
Invalid Credit Card Number or Credit Card Verification Code.

Is there an ETA on 1.1.7 Is this currently work in progress?

Sorry not at the moment, it is very early in the process.

As soon as i discover fixes for various PayPal API bugs i will post them in the forum so everyone can manually apply them to their 1.1.6 shops.

This is Fixed in upcoming VM 1.1.7, however a suggestion/improvement, enable few credit cart types by default maybe the most common Visa and MasterCard.

Suggestion for VM2.0 or even 1.1.8
Few weeks ago I purchased a software from a website, the checkout didn't had an option to select credit cart type but upon typing the credit card number next to input box Visa image appeared, I guess they detect type of card by the credit card number maybe this could be implemented.

@Aravot:
thank you for suggestion but there is no way it will be included in 1.1.8, nor in 2.0. Virtuemart 2.0 has the same features of 1.1.x, only rewritten in MVC code.
Maybe it could be done in 2.1 or something like that.

P.S. today i'll try to fix some other PayPal API bugs.
