Choose a product variant first

"Choose a product variant first" is a very nice option I have waited for a long time. But it shouldn't be a link (in this case an input tag). Clicking on it directs to an empty cart.

Checked the fix, works fine now.

But there is an other problem remaining: There are two options in the BE." Display parent as option" and "Parent orderable". If both are unchecked the button "Choose a product variant first" remains. I need to select the option "Parent orderable" in the BE. After this only the children are shown in the FE and I am able to add the first child into the cart. But the cart variants of the first child are only shown when I choose first the second child and after the first child again.

It seems to me, that the first child is treated like the parent product.

Interesting, yes the feature is still WIP. We are long away from what we wanted to have. Maybe we just combine this two settings to one setting.
