I have been searching the google, your web site since morning.
I am seeing the links on how to install it manually, but not the actual package for version 3.xx/2.xx.
There are only version 1.x.x manual installation packages.
Anybody can help?
To install is extremely simple - just unzip the http://dev.virtuemart.net/attachments/download/786/com_virtuemart.2.6.10_extract_first.zip and install the two zip files contained in it by the std. Joomla installer
Thats it..
plenty of info on http://docs.virtuemart.net/manual.html

Thank you!
I don't want to install joomla. Just Virtuemart is enough.
Where is this joomla installer? It is in the zip file? I can not install Virtuemart without Joomla?
hmm - back to basics
VM is an extension FOR Joomla -- therefore.... (I'll let you finish the sentence)
:-\ OK then.
Lets check joomla if I can just install it and can not use it (ofcourse I can upgrade it)
I installed joomla.
Downloaded the Virtuemart (core, aio files)
Top button here:
http://virtuemart.net/download
Trying to install, getting this error:
JInstaller: :Install: Cannot find Joomla XML setup file
Honestly...
what is the name of the file you downloaded?
com_virtuemart.2.6.10_
extract_first.zip

OK. I found out the problem.
I am using latest joomla and using 2.6.x Virtuemart.
I installed 2.9.9b version of Virtuemart which is compatible with latest joomla, it worked.
But got this message with first package:
---------
Message
Couldnt read dir source /home/username/public_html/administrator/components/com_virtuemart/assets/images/vmsampleimages
Installing component was successful.

thanks for your time!
