Title: [SOLVED]The safe Path problem, an extension
Post by: Benji1313 on September 18, 2012, 10:30:51 AM
Hello everyone,

I installed Virtuemart 2.0.10, and I have the safe path error.
Classic, I had it 2 times in the past, but now I cant fixe it...

I tried everything i found on the web and in the FAQ of this forum but it didnt work.
My ftp structure for Joomla is :
/home/USER/domains/DEMAINNAME/public_html/JOOMLA/

I tried to create the "/vmsafe/invoices/" in the home, in the domains and finaly, a random name and a /vmsafe/invoices/ directory in the public html, but no one work.
In my despair, I tried to create them in the joomla directory, but it was a fail. ???
I can't create a news directory in the DOMAINNAME and the domains.

I always use the absolut path when I try to configure the safe PATH (/home/USER/domains/vmsafe/invoices/ for exemple)
I copy/past and adapted the "log-tmp" directories, so I suppose there is no problem with the safe path... :-\

The rights for the /vmsafe/invoices/ is always 755.
I realy dont understand... :'(

Thanks

Hello,

If you leave it empty, i think vm2 will suggest you a path, can you test it?

a right safe path should be like this : /home/user/public_html/vmfiles/
you could also check in joomla configuration -> system -> Path to Log Folder to see your absolute path, may be to pass it wrong.

Actually my Safe path is:

/home/users/domains/DEMAINNAME/public_html/vmfiles/

The pass should be right.I checked it, and all my joomla is working well.

I will try to reinstall it.
