Hello!

Very nice work!

There is much done here...

I'm trying to make a shop myself could you tell me how you managed to do the menu?

As I can see this isn't the menu modul...

I've noticed your raf_cloud is not correctly configured i.e. your Search link is not fully correct because there are no links in the serach results.

What is the search link you entered in the raf_cloud module ?

Hi,

I luv the way that you have managed to get products by range and products by type menus.

Knowing that products may be in either of these menu structures.

Question though, I cannot figure out how to do this, any ideas ?

Ideally I want products by range, products by type (wood types) and products by room... can this be done so that I can create menus to call each of these products, knowing that each may be in all or some of the menu structures and thus the search results...

Any pointers as I can't get it right.

Thanks in advance (anyone).

Yes, these are interesting questions... is no one to answer???
I'm new here, have spend a whole day to find the solution... without success.
Virtuemart is really interesting, but without basic answers can't be used  :)

OK, well I managed to get this sorted in the end, it's  a lot easier than you (I) think.

I created categories (C) / subcategories(SC) as follows:

(C)Range
(SC) Range 1
(SC) Range 2
(SC) Range 3
(SC) Range 4

(C)Wood Type
(SC) Type 1
(SC) Type 2
(SC) Type 3

(C) Room
(SC) Room 1
(SC) Room 2
(SC) Room 3

And so on....

Then I created the prodcuts, from within the prodcut creation screen you can then assign the product to the categories above,

For example Prodcut 1 was assigned to (SC) Room 1, (SC) Type 2, (SC) Range 3.

Then I created menus that linked to each category... that was it (in my case).

Hope this helps.

Yes, it helps, thank you!!!
But... (yes, it always must be some 'but' :D)

How to show dynamically menu with subcategories only? Is that possible with some vm module? I mean, to make a menu manually with links to a subcategories is easy. But when somebody add some new subcategory, than it could be forgotten to add a new link in category menu... It must some way to do it dynamically anyway

Lee Wilson

I dont think you'll find anything that will show subcategories only, it's not in the nature of things to do this.

Personally I created a manual menu, it's not a very dynamic store in terms of the categories, so this was not an issue for me.

Good luck.

Thank You. Maybe it's time to write some new module...
I'll give you a sign when i do anything with that.

Greetings!

how to increase products thumbnail size?

Lee Wilson

It's in the store configuration under site tab I think.
