I have upgraded to VM 3.0.16 on Joomla 3.4.8 and now I am not able to add custom fields to my products. When I open a product listing > Custom Fields > Custom Field Type > Select the size or color etc nothing happens. It does not add the attribute field to allow me to then enter the attribute details.
I have checked everything I possibly can and can not find why this is happening. I even re-installed VM and it did not fix the bug.
Please advise?
are those native custom fields?
have you tried "install or update tables if neccessary" ?
go into your custom fields, and save them again, see what happens
none of the fields are working - not the standard string fields or the custom fields we had created.
I tried saving the fields again - no change
I tried "install or update tables if necessary" - no change
I tried adding a new string custom field - same issue - would not add to the product
I'm desperate to fix this - my client has a new range that has just arrived and are tearing their hair out that they can't add it to the site. Please help!
JS error in admin? checked the JS console?
we have check and there is no js error - see attached
what is that stockable custom in the screenshot? the new Breakdesigns one or the old VM2 one (which won't work)
its the VM 3 one however all the custom fields are not working - not only the stockable custom fields. I created a new string attribute and that didn't work either.
Out of ideas sorry.. needs some hard core debugging on your install...
can anyone please help me with this?
Most possibly is some js related issue.
If you are using other than the default template in your backend, please use the default offered by joomla.
Also check for error after selecting a custom field
Hi
are you getting the same issue when HTTPS turned off?
please try following:
- make a copy of your website (using for example akeeba backup tool)
- install it on some other server (no https)
and check if you are getting the same issue
Also, try to update Joomla to 3.6.2 and VirtueMart to 3.0.17.4 on a copy however I think it may have something to do with https
Thanks
Jason

It makes no sense to use j3.4.8. We never supported this version. Please update to the last version of joomla. Beware, update FIRST to j3.6.0, then update your "joomla update component", then update to j3.6.2
