Title: The best Template framework for VM?
Post by: marvays on September 25, 2020, 05:54:33 AM
Hello. I need to build a new e-shop. I have a simple question that may not be easy to answer. What is the best Templatebuilder for VM?

I have experience with Joomlashine and have been working with Astroid or Olympianthemes for the last two years. I tried the T3 Framework and now I'm testing Gantry. I read a lot of comparative tests between frameworks, but none was evaluated when used with Virtuemart.

Do you have any experience?

Frameworks??  WHY?

stick with the Olympianthemes simple bootstrap template and style it as you want without introducing MBs of crap

because:
1. I don't want to have all sites similar to egg eggs. I have used Olympus many times.
2. I don't want to buy a license every year because of updates
3. And that is the main thing. . . I do not want to edit, but to create.

No.

Please stay on topic. . . The best Template framework for VM?

If I use Olymp more than once, I have to adjust it. When I edit it, each tempalte update deletes my edits. I can make modifications by rewriting the template using custom.css, but this is a solution for noobs :) Therefore I want to build custom templates using the framework. A framework that I use on every website, not just an ecommerce like Olymp.

So please don't take my word for it that I don't want to pay for updates every year. I just don't want to work this style and I'm looking for something else :)

all the same "template" that was from memory originally Spyros's Olympian Horme -- styling has nothing to do with frameworks - it is just a combination of css, html and images

if u look at the source you will see all css is identical EXCEPT the templates/gjc_j3_vxx/css/custom.css
