J2.5.14
VM2.0.22c
using latest SH404 SEF

When adding a product to the cart & clicking on the "continue shopping" link, the continue shopping link always send me back to the homepage.
I know this is due to an issue where the menu item id is not added, in my previous 2.0.18 version I had followed the modification set out here http://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?topic=108000.0
But these no longer apply as the code within the /components/com_virtuemart/controllers/cart.php file looks to have changed quite significantly.

Is there a workaround for this?
Have I missed a simple setting ?
Is this considered a bug?

Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

It works fine in 22c and 22d using Joomla/VM's native SEF so it will be a SH404SEF problem and I don't think it should be considered a VM bug. Maybe somebody in SH404 support has an idea - one that does not involve a VM core hack......

Ive spoke with Yannick from SH404 in person at JAB13 earlier this year and he says that it is not an issue with SH404, more that Virtuemart doesnt add the menu item id to the continue shopping links?
I'm not a developer and dont really know what I am doing with modifying core files, but the modification here http://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?topic=108000.0 worked perfectly for the previous version of VM, but this core file has now completetly changed so I don't know where to add the code to force the URL to use the menu itemid.

I don't really think it is a VM bug as such, but why cant the link look for the menu itemid as standard as surely this will help with module positioning too?

Thanks

I could be wrong, but when someone from us sees this

I use SH404SEF
it's not so simply to stop and look into reported issue.

Mentioned extension made so much pointless troubles for VM2 that it looks like even disabled sh404sef could affect VM work somehow.

In short

Web site with SH404SEF = Impossible to support VM on this specific web shop
