Searching lists all the products and not just the first ??

When I search for a product, it lists all the products on one page instead of the first 25 products.

I have set the Max products per view in frontend to 25 in the Configuration - Shopfront
and in the VM - Search, Virtuemart Product plugin the VM - Search limit is set to 25.

But when ever I search for field it lists all the products, and this can cause an 500 error if there is to many products in the search.

Joomla 2.5.6
PHP Version 5.3.2
