I have installed VirtueMart 2.0.0 on my joomla version 1.5.20 and every thing seems to be ok ( installation was a success) but when I tried to go to my site I receive this error message:
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class vmRequest in /home/xxxxxx/public_html/administrator/components/com_virtuemart/helpers/config.php on line 746
How can I fix this problem? I tried to Soulved it by uninstalling and reinstalling like you said on this forum but I received an another error message:
Warning: require_once(/home/xxxxxxx/public_html/modules/mod_virtuemart_login/../components/com_virtuemart/virtuemart_parser.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/xxxxxx/public_html/modules/mod_virtuemart_login/mod_virtuemart_login.php on line 26
Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required '/home/xxxxxt/public_html/modules/mod_virtuemart_login/../components/com_virtuemart/virtuemart_parser.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/xxxxxxxx/public_html/modules/mod_virtuemart_login/mod_virtuemart_login.php on line 26
On virtuemart component I can see the component running but it is all new one, all my tables were not on it. Can you help me.
You must disable all old vm1 modules and plugins.
and you should delete or rename the old com_Virtuemart folders before you do the update.
I think I loso some of my old files. I have to reinstal a oldest version of my Joomla, reinstall a copy of my old VirtueMart tables and upgrade after that my Joomla Version.
I have now version 1.5.23 Joomla and 1.1.3 VirtueMart stable version.

ITS ON #3
renaming does the same thing
[ 3. Copy your vm1 images into the desired folders (you can also adjust the paths in the config to your old vm folders) ]
Yes, another excellent example of Virtuemart documentation.
