Hello,

I have an old site that is used by a trader to process orders. The site has not been updated or changed in years and is on Joomla! 2.5.20 and VirtueMart 2.6.6. I don't want to spend time on updating as it does not need any new features etcetera. I now have an error when trying to confirm order payments. I get a 500 error, nothing to specific when I go to the confirm stage (/index.php/cart/confirm) is this an issue with the server or some sort of out of date menu item?

Any hep would be great, if I can't get it going I may have to redo the site.

Regards,

James

Turn on debug in joomla and VM. Both the Joomla and VM versions are outdated and known to have security issues.

This is could be caused by an updated PHP version. What PHP does the site use ?

The site could also have been hacked.

Thanks for the reply.

I am using PHP 5.4.16 on this domain.

I have a firewall around the site and have the company looking in to it now. I think we need to update but this could take a bit of time.

James
