from reading up about this, it seems you need to publish two versions of the module.
one in the left sidebar and one on the right.
Hide the left one for mobile view, and then hide the right one for desktop view.

I am trying to figure this out. I'm sure it could be done using CSS. my CSS is rusty though.

I remember yootheme had a simple way of managing display between desktop, mobile, tablet. The template I am using doesn't appear to have any such features.

Hello

I created a custom field editor with some content in it and when I call it from a product's page, the content disappears.

I use VirtueMart 4.2.5 10938 and Joomla 4.4.1

Any ideas?
Thank you in advance!

Templating & Layouts / VM categories left for desktop...
Last post by dylanphelan - Yesterday at 18:14:32 PM
I am trying to make my site more mobile friendly.
Currently I have the VM category module displaying categories on the left.
This means that mobile users have to scroll past a bunch of categories before they see the product content.

I bought the CF filtering module from Breakdesigns a while back.

I like how this site has used it https://www.normain.cz/akce

left for desktop, and it seems to be in a right module position for mobile view as it displays below the product content.

How would that be achieved?

Frontend Modules / VM categories Menu
Last post by dylanphelan - Yesterday at 11:10:36 AM
What's the general consensus on the best practice for creating your categories.
I am currently using the Vm menu / category module to display categories.
This is set to display in a module on the left side of my content.
This works well on desktop display, but in mobile view, it displays a long list of categories which the user has to scroll down to get to the product content.

I purchased Nextend accordion a while back, but see that's been discontinued.

I was looking around for a module that can act like an accordion and dynamically display all VM categories.

Alternatively, I could manually create a menu using system links and display this on my main menu. I suppose this would work better for mobile view.

Administration & Configuration / Open J menu and close VM menu ...
Last post by iWim - Yesterday at 10:16:03 AM
Hey hey,

Since moving to J4 I created a custom admin menu for a selection of much used VM links.
The VM menu was hidden, but accessible just in case.

With VM4.2.8 this is the other way around.
According to your news article there is a hidden config. I searched in the cfg and xml files in com_virtuemart, in administrator, but missed it.

Can you direct me to the hidden config?
And will it reverse the change back to an open Joomla menu and a collapsed/closed VM menu?

Currently on VM4.2.10

Thank you.
