Attribute Pricing

Hi All,

Im a bit stuck, I am trying to put some new products on my live site (Virtuemart 1.1.9) these products are beds which have many variations based on Size and Divan type etc... So I thought to use attributes to cater for this rather then multiple items.

Now I dont want to put a top level price on the item so its not confusing to the customer so the only pricing is whats set in the attributes.

The problem I am having is that because there is no top level price the item is not picking up the VAT of 23%. Is there any way to make it always add the VAT rate onto the price?
