No Shop Currency defined

This could be pretty confusing. Once you set the currency - that is not enough.
You have to do more.
But where?
Ok, the tab.
But what?
You have to fill out a bunch of VENDOR info?
Like password: for what or who?

User name: For who or what?

Is this invasive? Private? Illegal?
Who knows, but you can not move on until you fill out the form.
This is REQUIRED information.

Suggestion: Would be nice to know somewhere on that page what this all relates to.
Vendor, ya, but is that the store owner? And if so why am I part of a shopper group?
Drop ship? Uh, anyone's guess but no clues to say yes.
A shopper? And i am supposed to set the currency in admin?

Shoppers group? I have to set the currency of the store in order to configure the store?
HMM?
Not to sure about this...

Intention: to be supportive....

Background info:
Fresh database, Jooma 2.5 and CSVI 4.0 just trying to setup shop for product import.

I would love to see a sticky about:  Upgrade, Migrate, Import, Export, Hacked or Not.
What are your options and what do in each scenario...
Like if your hacked in Joomla 1.5 and every PHP file now has infected code (help) what do you do or not do, and how do you get to 2.5?
The mantra we hear: upgrade to the latest version.
What does Jupgrade (the cat) drag in? Is it safe or would that be full of infected files?
So can I export my data and then import? - how, database. CSV or extension?
Joomla 1.5 - 2.5 and VM 0-60 MPH in under 3.3 seconds, not likely, but what are the best practices?
