Custom text input plugin ignores size specified in settings

Using 2.0.1K and Joomla 2.5.

Whenever I create a custom input text plugin and apply it to a product it seems to disregard the input text size that I specify in the settings. At "100", it goes off the page AND I can input well more than 100 characters. I attached an image...

Bump. Still happens with 2.0.2. Is there something in my Joomla template that is causing this? You can see from the screenshot that it is supposed to have a size of 100.

Edit:
Looks like I'm actually looking for a 'MaxChar' attribute to be added. Would be cool if we could limit the user input via the settings while adding this plugin to a product. Doubt it will happen though...
