Will upgrading to 2.0 solve the 'pending' order issue?

Hi:

I'm having the issue whereby all of my orders are coming back as 'pending' instead of 'confirmed' - I've been trying countless things to fix this but to no avail.
I'm wondering if v2.0 has a fix for this?
