Cash On Delivery -Shipping Charge Added ON Checkout...

Greetings,


As I'm completing testing on my online store using , Virtuemart 1.1.9, I have Cash on Delivery as a payment option. However, during check out, I noticed that if I select CASH ON DELIVERY that the standard Shipping./Handling fee is there as an itemized amount to be charged to the customer. Having the Cash On delivery option available, allows those customer, LOCALLY , who wish to purchase an item  , to pay for it via my site, and they can pick it up from me.

How can I disassociate the shipping/handling fee from the Cash on delivery option - in other words, I don't want to charge the customers a shipping fee if they will pick the item up.
