Product reordering in the backend not working as expected
« on: February 14, 2012, 01:20:14 am »
The ordering arrows seem to not be working right. The up arrow will send the product to the top, and the down arrow will send it somewhere randomly.

Pagination is messed up in the backend product list, so 50 works, 30 works, etc, but "all" does not work.

The only way that I could get ordering to work right, is to type in the number and then click on the disk icon in the table header. Typing in more than one number and then saving it will generally send those products in the right vicinity, but the products that have the numbers that you're replacing will be interlaced in there, so you have to work on the ordering some more. The fastest most efficient way to do things is to do one at a time, and then QA it to make sure it's the right place. Sometimes it will be right and sometimes it won't, so then you need to switch the numbers with the product you're trying to bump down.

Is this a known issue, and has it been fixed with newer versions of VirtueMart?

Here are the versions we're using:
joomla 1.5.14
vm 1.1.3

I believe that old issue was with Joomla. Those versions are very old, with known security issues. It is dangerous not to keep up with security releases...
