Is it possible to create a slideshow with products ?

You need to look in extensions in joomla and virtuemart.

* I'm sure you will see - an odd free one there or one for money.

* also look in the modules in Joomla already uploaded.

many new templates offer this as a part of their package. eg http://www.joomla24.com/
