In Canada taxes are calculated according to customer address - however, the only way I can get ANY taxes to show/calculate is if I set to 'vendor address'... which really doesn't help me at all.

Anyone know how to fix it? Need solution asap please!

Milbo

I fear that is just not implemented correctly at the moment.

Thank you for this bug report. This is exactly information I need to complete the calculator.
At the moment the calculator just checks for state and country address of the BT.

At a first glance this appears to be a nice example of a tax calculator - perhaps it helps.

of course good idea, but for this it is a bit too late. The base is working, now I need to look at the details.

No problem - perhaps you can bookmark the above example as a guideline for a future VM version. ;)

Did you try to setup up your own calculation rule? at first glance vm1.5 has already all of this. I just need to add a check for "prefer ST adress" and "use vendor adress" and to implement this into the calculator. countries, states, shoppergroups, date and category is already implemented

I have had a huge amount of trouble with this and i settled for charging the tex based on vendor address, i justified it by saying that you should be paying ON taxes if your buying from a store in ON

Milbo

Lol this post was about vm1.5. But shows that you search. Please describe exactly your problem, maybe open for this a new thread. I think it is also possible to use shipmentmethod rules for it
