using vm with joomla 2.5

Just beginning a new website and like to keep up to the latest Joomla version where possible. Will VM work with the new version of Joomla 2.5 or if I go to 1.7 will upgrading be easy and available down the track.

Hi Gigi
latest VM2.0.2e (not yet released as stable) appear to work on J2.5.
Bugs still exist however I'm using it without  major problem.
