"No Shop Currency defined!"
« on: January 27, 2012, 15:15:45 PM »
Hi all,

I have installed VM 2.O into Joomla Version 1.5.23 and it seem's to have installed just fine.

However, I have tried to define the currency as British Pound within 'SHOP' over and over again, but it keep's coming back with the following error message:

'No Shop Currency defined! Go to http://rachellouise-bridalhair.co.uk/administrator/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&view=user&task=editshop'

Does anyone know why this might be?

Thanks,

Colin

When i try and save a currency, the following blue message comes up on the top part of the screen.

'Please fill out the required fields, you may take a look on the tab Additional Information'

Are you logged in as the vendor when you edit the currency, and is the address for the store entered as being the UK?

SOLVED: okay this is 'supposedly' a feature - but appears as a bug to new users and people setting up shops - etc. (for many months now!!!!)

There is more "required" info on the "additional Information"  tab - that you are forced to fill in or the system wont accept your currency info.
This is a test site for me - and the first time I didn't need or actually know the shop owners - so I left it blank - which causes the the currency errors.

Good Luck !

Hey everybody!

I read your conversation since I had an issue with setting up my shop as well!
I have Joomla! 2.5.11 and Virtuemart 2.0.20b. First I installed Joomla multilanguage (EN, IT, SV) then VM.. I tried to save my shop too but no success!

In the end I solved the problem by manually setting the value of the currency in the db. The field needs an integer and for me Euros and Swedish Crowns were needed (# for € = 47, #for SweKr = 124)

I still have to test my shop on a production site but I believe everything will be fine!

Hope this help!!
Best

This is stupid... Can't save the currencies until you add a lod of information into a tab.  There is no reason I should actually need to fill that information in anyway.

Even when i do fill it out is says that the user is already registered.  This is a joke.  Total waste of my time

Right can anyone assist with this error on VM 2.0.22c ?

"Please fill out the required fields, you may take a look on the tab Shopper Information"

I have filled out all the details and it still won't save. I can't change the currency and so in effect can't setup the shop.  Brick_top, can you tell me where in the database I can change the currency?  Dev team, can you look at this obvious bug

Did you see forum FAQ "Can't edit the store? Nothing saves? How to become a vendor"?
