Hi Guys
I have really bad problem that i have looked pretty much every where to solve but I still caqnnot do it!  :(
I decided to upgrade from 1.9 to 2 on christmas eve.
I now get this error - Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class vmRequest in /home/xxxx/public_html/administrator/components/com_virtuemart/classes/request.class.php on line 597

I cannot seem to fix it at all and its driving me nuts! I did install it on an active site with many products on it and sales .
Because of this I do not want to try a reinstall as scared I will lose them all.

Please please please can some help as this is a busy time of the year for me and its ruined my Christmas worrying what I have or may have done to the site !
Many thanks , please help :(

just read this title    http://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?topic=78844.0
WHY did you upgrade a live site with a COMPLETELTY NEW generation in a busy time of year?

The actual problem is because of old 1.1.9 files. For a fast fix. RENAME this folder
/administrator/components/com_virtuemart/classes

YOU NEED TO GO BACK to 1.1.9. Do you have a backup?
You cant just go from 1.1.9 to 2.0 on a live site with sales. There are MANY things different,

I just saw there was an upgrade , nothing on the frontpage of the site said anything about upgrading would wipe/affect 1.9 .
So as like with other plugins and modules i thought it would be ok .
I do not have a proper backup, soon as vm2 installed it showed it to be moving folders etc and database.
I then took a backup of site via cpanel.
Can you help then ?
Thanks

For everyone reading this thread

become familiar with Akeeba backup

http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions/access-a-security/site-security/backup/1606?qh=YToxOntpOjA7czo2OiJha2VlYmEiO30%3D

do not trust host company backups, use akeeba regularly

Topknotch:  call you host and see if they have a backup they can restore your site from, date prior to your update

I dont know where to start but to say, You are in trouble

do you seriously NOT use akeebah? Its a must have for EVERY joomla user.

1st thing you do RIGHT now, is download akeebah backup and configure it, and then run a backup.

Anything you try can mess it up worse. So you need to have a backup first before going forward

I have always used xcloner , ill look into this now and have contacted my host to see what backups they have.
Cheers guys and yes im an idiot
