Hi all

I am trying to configure VM2.0.0 such that it has country specific tax rules. Let's say I made the two rules German Tax 19% and Austrian Tax 20%. If a user is logged in, the prices are shown correctly according to his country. But when someone visits the shop without logging in, VM adds the German AND the Austrian tax. I would like it to add no taxes until the user selected a country.

The same for country specific discounts. I would like VM not to show a country specific discount until that country has been selected.

How can I achieve this?

Thanks a lot for your help!

Greets,
Stefan

...German Tax 19% and Austrian Tax 20%...

That makes sense only if you have to collect sales tax (MwSt) for both countries' revenue offices, i.e. if you mail products from an australian office to customers located in Australia and also from a german office to customers located in Germany.

I know. This is the actual case with the customer for whom I'm setting up the webshop.

(But the other office is in Austria, not in Australia... The shop is not that international...)

QuoteVM adds the German AND the Austrian tax
I think that's a new bug. I have a similar problem with cart variants, where it adds all tax rates simultaniously in the product details view. As an initial workaround you might consider to force customers to register/log in.

Concerning "Australia/Austria" ...maybe I need new reading glasses  ;D
