Hi how are you guys?

I'm actually onto VM1.1x version and using Joomla 1.5 with a previous store I started building but now wonder if its a good idea to transition over to Joomla 1.7 and VM2. I know Virtuemart has its issues with bugs and stablity on the onset, but is it finally stable now? I don't want to use VM2 with Joomla 1.7 if its still in the beta, testing stages, though it's almost close to a full workable version.

Can someone confirm to me whether VM2 has finally released a stable version or when there will be one? I kind of need this answer by no later than Tuesday, possibily Wednesday because I need to start working on the site by then.

Thanks...

VM is at revision M of RC2, personally using it on 3 stores now and the extremely rare bug is very easy to fix up without even hitting the forums here.
I am more than happy running the latest build on a live site. All the important functions are there and working 100% from what i can tell.
I don't believe, therefore it does not exist

This is not a question that anyone can easily answer. Such projects are always on-going, always improving, always bugs to fix. The only way to be sure is to try it with the setup you need. The stable version may work perfectly for one type of setup, but may need tweaks for others. This doesn't change even when releases are classed as stable. This is the nature of open source.

Most importantly, the quickest way for VM2 to be as stable as possible, and improve where possible, is with more people testing, reporting back, and where possible fixing things. So it is important that people with time-sensitive needs help the project as that is how it develops quicker.
