Error! Could not find an XML setup file in the package.

Joomla 1.5.23
When trying to install VM 1.1.9 I get this error message "Error! Could not find an XML setup file in the package." in red, and one line below it says "Unable to find install package". File name is: VirtueMart_1.1.9-COMPLETE_PACKAGE.j15.zip. Being a beginner, what should I look for?

You need to unzip the package first. It is in the manual: http://virtuemart.net/documentation/User_Manual/Installation_FAQ.html
