I'm on VM 1.9.8.RC2M and J! 1.7.2.
All my categories except one displays the proper products.
When I click the non-working category the proper URL-is showing in the address-line, but the view is the same as for the shop fronpage (Virtuemart Default Layout).
Cannot see any errors in the apache log...

Ideas?

Thanks

The non-working link is generated from VM.
I've set the fronpage to "VirtueMart ยป VirtueMart Default Layout" and thats where I try to access the category from.
All other categories displays as expected.
I've also set up a menu (in a module), VirtueMart Category, which acts the same way...

is sef enabled?

sounds like it could also be the layout page being wrong in the category

WHAT happens when you create a joomla menu link to the category? THAT will tell you a lot

Hi.
Creating a Joomla menu link to the category gives the same behaviour (I had to give the link a different alias ofc).
I've double cheched the layout for the category-settings and they are the same as for other categories that work.

But disabling SEF made it work!
Obvously I want SEF enabled, but its nice to see something happen! :)
Anything in particular that made you suspect the SEF-functionality?

Thanks!
Changing a letter in the alias of the non-working category indeed makes it work.
Idealy I'd like to keep the original alias, but I can live with this workaround.
I have NO idea why this is makes it work tho...
