Wierd mootools problem?
« on: June 27, 2011, 18:06:24 pm »
Hi...long story.

Basically, I'm just trying to get the "add to cart" to work. I installed VM 1.1.9, defualt theme, and it was opening my whole website inside the notice box.

So, I tried lots of things, but wasn't helping. So I installed vm_mynxx theme virtuemart theme, because I thought it would get around this problem. But no...

I updated my template
I update joomla
I updated gantry framework
I set $var live site
I turned off SEF urls
I tried out ACEsef
I enabled mootools upgrade ...but I get various errors from this. I attach screenshot of errors with firebug when adding to cart.. The screenshot shows what happens when mootools upgrade is DISABLED with mynxx theme on..

swfobject is not defined
[Break On This Error] (142 out of range 100)

How can I fix it? :( I've run out of ideas.

When using the "default" VM theme, and then add to cart....I get the notice box popup...but it has the whole site loaded in it. Then when it disappears, the cart has not been updated, and the product not added. Something seems very wrong.

the problem will have to do with your SEF

The box uses index2.php

index2.php needs to be excluded from being re-written

Hi Banquet, thanks -

However, turning off SEO & mod_rewrite in global config doesn't change the behaviour? Is there something else I can try?

If I "ENABLE" mootools upgrade, I get this error on frontpage instead -

a.getID is not a function
You can disable/enable break notifications in panel's tab menu.

Something very wrong with mootools?

1st swfobject is flash. Nothing to do with vmart and mootools

What happens when you change joomla templates? and NOT upgrade mootools?

! Muppet = me.

In ,htaccess I had a line to forward index.php to /  so it was removing this from the urls..

It works fine now  ???

Thanks Banquet :)
