Getting Paypal legacy and auspost modules to work

Hi All,

These may be two of the most simple things that are requested in here, but as they are not working, I cant get my shopping cart up and running.

I have been in contact with someone who developed an original auspost module a while back to see if they can automate it or update it etc. At the moment the auspost module that comes bundled with VM is saying most parcels posted in australia will cost $25 or more, which is wrong. It should also allow you to choose in the config between prepaid satchels, boxed items and freeform packages.

If anyone has a quick fix for that, please let me know.

PART TWO getting paypal to work.

In theory I would imagine that paypal should work 'out of the box' but I have been referred to so many outdated "instructions" that it is laughable.

This could all be my newbie fault, however I am stuck with trying to get paypal legacy working. I am using this because people tell me that PP API doesnt work. I have registered a paypal account, and a paypal sandbox account, but am not sure about the VM PP configuration and basically how to get people to pay me.

I only sell in Australia so both the auspost and pp modules need to work locally.

A longer thread about the issues can be found here

As I am a dog walker - the reason why I have been using freeware, I am hoping that a quote and development wont be massive.

Please let me know if anyone can help me get this up and running.

Thank you!

Bruce
