Thanks for letting me know BanquetTables.pro I will dig around and will let you know if I find anything as I am sure someone else in the future may be interested!

As for my code, facebook actually pulls the page title.

I think you would have to go a while different route to change the title

I tried to embed the snippet as per http://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?topic=80560, but I dont see that in my product details page yet.

I inserted that snippet into flypage.tpl.php under components\com_virtuemart\themes\default\templates\product_details by creating a new row and td.

Apologies, I'm trying to understand what default theme means?
I'm new to Joomla/Virtuemart. How can I figure out my default theme?

My env: I'm on Joomla 1.5.22 and JA Shopping II template.

BanquetTables.pro, first of all thanks for the code and your time on it.

I added the code in one of my flypages (named it flypage_fblike actually) and at first, everything seemed to work fine! My website is offline, I am still working on it, but the "like" posts on my fb wall showed up normally. Unfortunately, after 2-3 "likes", it started giving me an error, like some guys here, "the url "the-page-with-the-like-button" could not be reached."

I thought it would be some problem of the website being offline (although at the beginning everything worked like a charm) and set it to online, but the problem persists.

My last saying on this, is that (when in standard mode for example) even though the like button gives the error I mentioned above, it recognises my fb account, by saying "basiloukos likes this" and it makes me very curious of the situation...

My apologies for the long post, but I tried to make up for the website being offline. Thanks in advance

the iframe it creates comes from facebook, and talks to YOUR browsers cookie for facebook. Thats why you see your face there

As for offline, that has to be the problem with the error. The code works, universally no matter what PHP software is being used. virtuemart, wordpress,. etc.

Just run to test it, but nothing seems to run normal... :(

I set the website to online, my first "like" worked, but all the others gave the same error. I signed out of fb, tried to "like" again, gave a popup window in order to sign in to fb, the like worked again.

I don't see any particular pattern of the errors showing up and I can't understand what could cause the problem...

Regards

if you have the same customer like more than one of your products, you are better than 99.99999% of eccom sites out there.

I know this doesnt fix your problem, just saying
