"Show Prices = NO" removes Add to Cart Buttons?!?
« on: February 09, 2011, 20:44:07 pm »
Ok, so I want to have my products displayed and I want to have add-to-cart capabilities without showing any prices.  So.... I uncheck "show prices" in the configuration and viola... no more add to cart buttons.  I did *not* select to use as a catalog only.  I only unchecked "show prices".  Is there a sensible way to make this work without having to hand edit half a zillion pages to comment out price display?

you only have to remove <?php echo $product_price ?> from the flypage templates.

and the browse page templates.

OR, do a display:none with css for

.productPrice

Yeah, but I also need to remove prices from the shopping cart and checkout process.  We're using a form plugin to use in the checkout process because a shopper is selecting products for which they are seeking coverage-- which means pricing is irrelevant to them and may scare them if they saw it.

then yes, you would have to remove them from the basket, and checkout templates.

What you are wanting is a "quote cart"

and you could also use the "purchase order option" for checkout, without having to use a plugin.

We need the customer to fill in a lengthy "intake form" as part of the checkout process.  Once we receive that, we begin the insurance verification processes...
