Need SSL fixing with Virtuemart/Joomla.
« on: October 24, 2010, 13:59:31 pm »
I have been creating a site for some time which I have placed on a working domain for the time being at www.sona-publishing.co.uk.

The issues I have with the site are all SSL and Virtuemart issues:

1. When entering the secure areas of the site (Checkout/Account) all styling disappears.

2. After checkout the site remains in secure mode (ie. https).

The site is currently using a shared certificate but I don't see why that should be an issue for a second, as on zen, os commerce and magento shared certificates work fine from the same hosting company.  The client will happily buy their own certificate if we can actually get this working.

Virtuemart clearly is clearly problematic with SSL, as evidenced by a myriad of posts on the forums that go unsolved or with people happy to run their site in secure mode all the time.  I personally would prefer Virtuemart to work exactly as it should.

Quotes for this work, plus requests for other details you may require to investigate this more deeply before doing so, are welcome.

Your URI changes whenyou go to the secure site. Change you SSL site url in the site configuration.
