quantity in cart is doubling for one particular product

running VM 1.1.4 on Joomla! 1.5.20

When "purchaseing" my TEST ITEM, depending on where you are selecting it, it will double quantity when added to cart.

From HOME PAGE
click PRODUCTS in top nav
then TEST ITEM
add to cart
you'll see item quantity is doubled - if you selected 2 qty, then you'll have 4 in your cart. if you selected 1 qty, you'll have 2 in your cart

HOWEVER, from Home page SLIDER -- when clicking Add To Cart - only 1 qty is added to cart

BUT - using left module PRODUCT CATEGORIES > Accessories > TEST ITEM  -- add to cart doubles quantity into cart.

This seems to be only be happening on the TEST ITEM.

Any ideas? I have seen this in the forums with no resolution...

I have been modifying my browse_1 and browse_2 .php files and the cart doubling issues seems to have resolved.

JUST added another new product and it's back to doubling quantities in the cart. what is going on here?!?!!?

i reuploaded my browse_2.php and that didnt fix it either

the new product that is giving me this issue is "TRIAL OFFER"

once i added product dimensions, weights, etc... this seemed to resolve itself.

....weirdness....
