Error logging background colour- Can it be changed
« on: July 13, 2010, 09:06:17 am »
Hi,

Is it possible to change the background colour, or image for error message that comes up when you try to enter the shop before log in

http://303haulage.com/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=13&vmcchk=1&Itemid=13

I have attached an image of it, and you will see why I want to change it.

Any ideas?

If you use a tool such as Firebug or equivalent, you can inspect any element on a page, identify the styling assigned to it and find the file where that styling is defined.

You'll see that the background-color for the CSS class .shop_info is in your theme.css file (usually components/com_virtuemart/themes/default/theme.css)

On the same not as this, I have managed to change the back ground colour.

Is it possible to change the text as well???

I have downloaded firebug and still can not locate it.

You can change VirtueMart text in the language files:

     administrator/components/com_virtuemart/languages/

Yes I have found this location, however I found numerous folders with the same file in them.

account, admin, checkout, common,etc.

Which one do I need to edit for this and what do I need to change?

Search each of the files for the text you wish to change.  When you find it, change the text to whatever you wish.  I'd suggest you start with "common".

It took a while but I found one of them. still can not find one of them, is there anywhere else it can be, it is the one that you get if you are not logged in what so ever, yet you get to the shopping cart it says:

Error: You do not have permission to access the requested module

The one I found is when you are logged in as a joomla user,

Info: You are not a Registered Customer yet. Please provide your Billing Information.

this was here:

language/common/PHPSHOP_MOD_NO_AUTH' => 'Please either log in, or register.

Still can not find the one I want.
