I upgraded the site and everything seemed to be working well.
When I went to add a new product I got "Error: Something went wrong when trying to add the product!"

This is not a very helpful error message.

Any clues as to how to diagnose this?

Thanks.

Guess I'll answer my own question.
The DEBUG feature in VM will yield a much more informative screen than the generic something went wrong message.

In this case, the SQL could not insert data into a field that was not in the table.

I had installed a wonderful UPS real time quoting system from lowmips.com, see http://www.lowmips.com/joomla/free-software/category/4-upsv2,

Because of the way I installed it, a couple of tables did not get inserted via SQL query.

The virtuemart DEBUG details that for you, if you turn it on.

Okay. Is there any way you can guide me to sorting my issue out?
How do I enable the debug?

*UPDATE* Enabled Debug. Tried uploading again, but I dont understand the debug info at the bottom of the page?
