Is there a way of determining price from user-specified values?
« on: December 04, 2009, 16:01:55 pm »
We want to set up a shop whereby the user can select the product attributes (such as size, colour and extras) and we calculate a price based on those (from a formula, for example).

For example we're selling material and would like to charge a price per foot/metre. Is there a way to do this?

I have had a quick look into what you suggested and need to look in more detail. It might be an option, although I always worry about hacking the code.

Another option that occurred to me was to simply split the products into more categories which would lessen the amount of size attributes needed. But it might be a little ugly doing it this way.

I will have a look at your suggestion and if it works will mark this topic as solved.

Many thanks for your time and input.
