Warning: cannot yet handle MBCS - No Products Display

When I click on the category, I get this error message

Warning: cannot yet handle MBCS in html_entity_decode()! in /home/huchigea/public_html/new/libraries/joomla/application/pathway.php on line 209

Any idea what the heck this means and how to fix?

Your server is using PHP4 which is past end-of-life. Upgrade to PHP5.

HMmmm, maybe you know something I don't?  My server stats sir...

Apache version   2.2.14 (Unix)
PHP version   5.2.11
MySQL version   5.0.81-community-log
Architecture   x86_64
Operating system   Linux
Kernel version   2.6.28-10.7.intel.E1000E.BHsmp

As such, instead of guessing and now armed with better intel, possibly you have a solution instead of a guess. ;D

Shows the importance of providing information. You still don't say which version of VirtueMart.

Do you have JCal installed? That error has been reported with JCal and PHP 5.2.11  - http://dev.anything-digital.com/Forum/?topic=5395.msg21197

The latest version of VM, of course!  No Jcal, nothing else.  This is on the Moxy template from Rocket Theme and nothing else has been installed.

The tip off from your previous response was the php.ini file, which for some reason did not install when this account was created.  I installed it and everything is now working.  Thank you again for your help.

This was solved by installing the php.ini file in the public_html.  For some reason it did not install when the account was created.
