Without sounding disrespectful to those who developed VM - is this project going forward? From my perspective as a low-tech user it is pretty good and pretty functional, but many competing products are incorporating things that may be available as add ons, but aren't part of the  core product.  It seems the board activity doesn't reflect the number of assumed users so I guess my question is am I missing a fundamental point of open source or is this a project that the drivers has lost the time to pursue?

This visitor gets it dead right!

Multilingual VM Webshop
Joomla 1.5.26
VM 1.1.9
Joomfish 2.1.7
Artio JoomSEF 3.8.2
CSVi VM 3.8.1

VM2 has the power of Magento and the usability of Opencart. I just can't get it to do what I managed to do with VM1 for so long...

Always published in News section now so that users can subscribe to it and never be out of date - so the latest news tells users that VM1.1 is no longer supported.....

Thanks Jenkin,

Now I just stay puzzled because of two things:

1. Why is Heidelpay added as a feature when you guys are loosing so many users because of the difficulty in "setting up a stockable parent/children list"?
2. Why is Heidelpay added when we can't even order our list of children???

When these two big issues are fixed we can finally migrate and stop using J1.5/VM2.

Please, please, please... continue the work on this "how to" section (http://dev.virtuemart.net/projects/virtuemart/wiki/Product_custom_fields_with_stock_control) and leave all other extra features for later.

Just cause I stumbled over.

Heidelpay is a plugin and the main development was done by heidelpay. The other two issues are core related and were not so easy to fix, but good news, they are fixed since almost a year
Should I fix your bug, please support the VirtueMart project and become a member
